Marc Lanteigne

Marc Lanteigne holds a PhD from McGill University and is an associate professor in political science at UiT – The Arctic University of Norway. His research interests encompass China and foreign policy in East Asia, Chinese collaboration with regional and international organizations, Sino-European and Sino-Arctic relations, trade policy, and China’s economic diplomacy. Lanteigne has authored several books, including “China and International Institutions: Alternate Paths to Global Power” (2005), “Chinese Foreign Policy: An Introduction” (2009, 2013), and he is a co-editor of the books “The Chinese Party-State in the 21st Century: Adaptation and the Reinvention of Legitimacy” (2008) and “China’s Evolving Approach to Peacekeeping” (2012). He has also written numerous articles on Chinese diplomacy in Asia and strategic policies in East Asia, covering topics such as petroleum policy, maritime security, free trade, responses to unconventional security, and economics.
