Gjert Lage Dyndal

Gjert Lage Dyndal is an active-duty officer serving as a brigadier and the Chief of Operations in the Norwegian Defence Staff. In addition to his extensive operational military background, he has pursued studies in M.Phil. in War Studies and a PhD in History in the United Kingdom in his spare time. He has also authored several books and articles on crisis management, security policy, strategy, and the application of military power. Dyndal has been involved in several major research projects, multiple research environments, and the private sector. Currently, he is affiliated with NTNU – The Norwegian University for Science and Technology as a professor-competent researcher at the Department of Engineering Cybernetics.
