Cathrine W. Salthammer
Cathrine W. Salthammer is a political scientist and officer by education, currently working as an advisor for insights and analysis at Geelmuyden Kiese. She is also an officer in the Norwegian Home Guard. Salthammer has extensive and diverse experience in defense and security policy, having held positions at both operational and strategic levels in the defense sector and the justice sector over the past 20 years. This has provided her with exceptional insight into the threat and risk landscape facing the nation. Previously, Salthammer worked as a senior advisor in the National Security section of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, where she had particular responsibility for policy development related to the areas of responsibility of the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST). Salthammer has also worked as a multi-source analyst in the The Norwegian Police Security Service and the Armed Forces. She has served in the Intelligence Battalion and in international operations in Afghanistan and Kosovo. In addition, Salthammer has worked in the Security Policy Department of the Ministry of Defense and in the Security Policy and Northern Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
